iPhone How to stop an app running -Microsoft Teams

I've recently install Microsoft Teams on my phone, seems a good bit of software on the PC, but needed it on my phone when I dont have a mic and headset about.

How do you stop teams running all the time?
I dont want it running out of office time, or people trying to phone me when I dont want to. I'd like it a bit like the PC version, where I can close the app and that's it gone from updating, or communicating for the day, until I run it again.

I have the same issue as you. As far as I can see the only way is to sign out.

You can set quiet hours though in the settings where you won't receive notifications.
