How to stop being asked to join Apple Pay

Just unintentionally loaded ios17 and it says “Finish Setting Up Your iPad” ie it wants me to join Apple Pay, but I don’t want to, how do I get rid of the red dot on settings and stop it asking.

You click on it, start doing the thing as you were to set up Apple Pay, then you cancel instead of actually adding a card. That will get rid of the red dot.

Thanks very much, I clicked on it and it gave me a dialogue box where I had the option of setting it up later, so I clicked on that, and all reference to Apple Pay disappeared. Hopefully it stays that way.

I think I removed my bank card from my account in the similar way, but I wasn’t sure, and I didn’t want to get stuck on an Apple Pay webpage!
