I don’t know why this isn’t default behaviour but is there a way in iOS 15 to stop the iPhone loudly beeping for text messages when you’re on the phone, other than always putting it on silent when you answer a call?

Sounds like you have message reminders turned on, you can shut them off so that when you get a text, it will alert only once.

No that’s not what I mean, I mean if I get a text when I’m on the phone it sounds the alert at full volume when the phone is against my ear and it’s quite annoying so I wondered how to make it so it doesn’t do that?
