What does the iPod open automatically?

Itself. Like for example I am using Kirikae now and when I double tap the home button to summon Kirikae it pops up the iPod Music controls (Back,Play,Forward) and then I have to tap Kirikae for it to open. So basically the app itself is opening but its not playing any music or anything like that, it just sits there.

Reading the thread title, i thought the OP had little Nano-Mites with tiny little screwdrivers opening his iPod. Just wanted to say .... I want one LMAO

Back back to the problem ... When does it do this ?? iTunes ? When just sittng there ??

A litlle more info goes a long way in this day and age :)

ROFL...Nano-Mites. It happens randomly. Unplugged or Plugged to the computer doesn't make a difference. Like 2 minutes ago I closed it and when I checked like a minute later it was open again...

Those are the pop-up iPod controls. They activate when you double-tap home when the iPod application is open. You can disable them in Settings > General > Home > iPod controls.

Yeah I know but they don't show up when the iPod is closed. My problem is that those controls are showing up because the iPod app is opening up randomly.

I doubt it is opening itself. Something else is opening it. The question is what it is. Have you installed anything recently?

It is also possible that it has been doing this for some time but you have only noticed it since the new version of Kirikae began using libactivator, which does not block iPod controls.

I haven't installed nothing new recently. It probably is because its using libactivator though.

I have the same problem but only when I go in my truck. The SYNC in my ford opens up the ipod app. I don't use it either, I just use slacker. I have to open Kirikae and close out the ipod to play slacker. Sometimes more than once.
