How to stream a movie from my mac to apple tv with no conversion?

Hi,

is there a simple, or any, way to stream or share movies from my mac/time capsule to an appleTV.

I was hopping for and Air Video app to have such an option but it seems you cannot stream a movie (which in fact is streaming to my iPad from my mac) to an ATV.

Is there a way to do so? I know you can conver movies and play them on ATV with no problems but I have no intention to convert them ;-)

While i personally found limited success with this app, it's worth a try if you're dead set against having to convert files.

Honestly if you are not prepared to convert your movies to an iTunes friendly format then the Apple TV is not for you.

There are some hacks that may make it somewhat possible but there are not what the ATV was intended for.
