How to stream documents

Hi everyone,

I am trying to stream documents from my mac air to Ipad/iphone.

I thought it was just the case of putting a file into the documents on the macair, and then I thought it would magically stream, but this is not the case. I have spent hours on the net looking for the solution, but just cannot find it, I am getting frustrated.

I want to stream pdf files, so i thought downloading adobe the pdf reader app would work. but I don't know how to stream.

Any help would be much appreciated.

GoodReader can transfer PDFs to-from most devices. No streaming though.

Yes, it's not a universal app.
