Hello
I have some music files that I'd like to stream to my iPhone. I have Plex player on my phone and using WiFi in the same LAN I could listen to music streamed from NAS. I use Synology NAS DS216j
But my goal is to listen to that file not in LAN but over the Internet. When I am outside of my home I could access my NAS via Plex.tv and see that music file. When I click on 'play' it does not throw any error but does not play. What is wrong? Could it be that my iPhone is not powerful enough for that? Could something be done to fix it or it's not supposed to play music on iPhone over the Internet from NAS?
And one more thing: using Plex player on iPhone it works only when I am in local network. Isn't it suppose to work over the Internet as well?

I have the same setup and I can stream & sync just fine outside of the home. You might want to check your Remote Access settings. If these are all correct and it still doesn't work, the Plex forums are really helpful in figuring out the problem. Devs answer questions, Super Users have worked out just about every problem at some point, etc.

Or you could just sync before you leave the house.

Thanks for reply.
In my case I don't have Pemium account and I believe it won't allow sync for base account.
Anyway that is great news and sounds promising
