How to SYNC fonts between machines?

1) I currently use Dropbox to sync files/documents between 2 Macs (mine and my wife's) and iPhones/iPads.

2) I use Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator a lot to create graphics for my business.

3) My wife also uses those same programs to create graphics as well.

4) We'd like to share/sync the fonts between our two machines (just like we do with files/documents) so that when I add a font for a photoshop document I'm working on, and she opens the file later on, she can view it properly since the same font I downloaded was synced to her computer as well.

5) Is this possible? What's the best way to implement (using Dropbox if possible).

Issues of licensing aside, you might be able to get by with a font collection on a networked drive, and then use some software like FontExplorerX.
FEX can import all the fonts from the network drive to its Library, and then auto-activate them when requested by Photoshop, etc.

Otherwise you're looking at a font server.

There are ways of using DropBox to sync a folder that's outside the Dropbox folder -- using sym links, but synchronising the User font folder across two machines (or even the /Library/Font folder) may cause problems.

Another option might be to use rsync, or a product that is a front-end for rsync, such as Chronosync.
