Do the following

@sagarrana55:
If you use a Mac, download a program called VLC which lets you convert .AVI to iphone videos and will automatically make it so that the video appears on iTunes. I know because I use it.
(Google VLC iphone video for both a download link as well as tutorials to convert.) If you use a pc google convert video to iphone and that should give you software as well as tutorials that tell you how to do it.:D

Then navigate to the folder where the video got saved and 'drag and drop' the saved video file into iTunes. iTunes should then pick it up and add it to your library...Voilla! :D

One more thing! It will by default show up on the 'movies' section not music videos...

I'm new to Apple, sorry to repeat. But I made a folder in my iTunes under playlists (and I have no idea how I managed that - couldn't do it again!) called edsmovies. I bought ELF, downloaded fine, hunted it on the pc, copy/paste it to edsmovies, can't remember what else and sync'd. ELF made it to the iPhone. I converted a movie using AVSMEDIA, it says the conversion is for iphone and is a w4v file. I copy/paste it in edsmovies on iTunes and nothing in the sync. I bought Grinch off iTunes, downloaded fine, copy/paste it to edsmovies - won't sync. I'm just old and familiar with put it on the sim, play it. In what folder on iTunes do you copy/paste the movies for a good plain sync? I did the same for my mp3s, edssongs, adn when I copy/paste there it's smooth and works. I'm not lost - but certainly bewildered! All 3 movies are under edsmovies on iTunes, all 3 will play fine in iTunes, missing somthing here. In the above info it says to copy/paste to iTunes - any particular default folder? - Appreciate the help. ed

I said DRAG AND DROP - Not copy/paste lol

Ed,
1st, please excuse the liberty I took in editing/adding comments to the quote above:D; let me explain a few things:

1-) Not clear on something..."new to Apple" means you actually work on a MAC - right? Or did u say that b'cause of the iPhone?
2-) You don't make a folder in iTunes - iTunes creates a folder FOR YOU.
3-) What do you mean by "hunted it on the pc"? Didn't quite get that one. :)
4-) What you actually want to do is, as iTunes is open you navigate to the folder where your conversion software actually SAVED the movie you just converted. After you are in that folder and are able to see the movie file, you then DRAG AND DROP the file DIRECTLY INTO ITUNES (YES THE PROGRAM NOT A FOLDER) doesn't really matter if you're looking @ music and not movies, iTunes is smart enough to know to save the movie to your movie folder.
5-) You do say in your post that "all 3 play fine in iTunes" which leads me to believe that your problem is actually with the resolution that those videos are being converted at. For exact resolution settings simply google "convert video to iphone" and you should come across several different tutorials, etc. that are going to give you the EXACT settings that you need to use to format the movies so that they'll play correctly. Believe me, I had that problem before and that is EXACTLY how I fixed it. ;)
6-) Finally, if you use a PC here's a helpful link http://www.anders.com/guides/convert/video/iPod/windows.html
If you're on a Mac, go here: http://pietervangils.com/iphone/how-to-convert-avi-to-mp4-for-iphone-with-vlc/

Hope this helps! :apple: RULEZ! LOL

macfan09 - THANKS for all the info. I gave a nice long answer but the PC took a nap and it was all lost. I don't have MAC, the iTunes didn't make any folders. I have ELF on the iPhone, don't know how, I bought Grinch and it's not on the iPhone, don't know why! Converted a movie and it's w4v and can't get it to iPhone. The folders I refer to - when I ordered the 2 movies it downloads to my PC folders - hidden into a iTunes folder. You show to D&D to iTunes - it won't let me. iTunes is a large open page, it won't let me just drop it anywhere. I tried D&D to the edsmovies I made on the iTUnes page - worked, but won't load. HEY APPLE - MAKE IT A DISK LIKE EVERY OTHER D*&%)*&( VENDER! Anyway, this sync stuff is about to get me and the iPhone is about history. Fine machine but if I'm too stupid for it I'll have to go back to WM. Thanks for the help though!!! ed

I FOUND IT! oh joy ;). In the iPhone selection of iTunes are selections for summary/info/ringtones/music/photo/video - say wut? VIDEO, let's look in there. It is set to select and my videos weren't selected. After doing that, and for the TV where Grinch went they loaded fine. I made playlists - edstunes and edsmovies. These could have been selected - I moved everything to under Library. Got it done, hope next time is easier. Thanks for all the information, it gave me some guidance and made me look! ed

I you have a lot of TV Shows, I suggest you have a look at VideoDrive (www.aroona.net). It puts your videos in iTunes, numbers the season and episodes, adds metadata from the web and puts them in the TV Show section. Clearly you can do all these steps manually but if you have a bunch of videos it's worth to have a look at it.
