How to tell if phone is unlocked without a tMobile sim?

I just sold my iPhone 2g on ebay and I told the buyer I would unlock it. I believe I did, bootnueter ran and completed fine. Cydia is on there so I know it's jailbroken but how can I tell if it's unlocked without a tMobile sim?
Shouldn't it say somewhere or is there an app I get from Cydia or something?
I would really like to try and verify before shipping tomorrow.
I used pwnage on leopard to do it and it's on the 3.0 software too!

If bootneuter ran fine then its unlocked. The only way to tell is to actually put a different sim card in

I was just hoping to make sure.
I didn't know the 3.0 was breakable with pwnage.
I spent hours trying to get itunes to roll it back to 2.1!

Yeah lol. Infact once you use bootneuter on the 2g its permenantly unlocked (can upgrade to new firmware) even if the phone isnt jailbroken since the baseband has been flashed. Its a different method than ultrasn0w which uses an injection vector, but you're fine :]

I had it jailbroken a while back along with my wifes, but then the novelty of having the themes wore off for my wife and I restored hers and then shortly after I restored mine.
The guy I sold it to is going to China and would like to buy a sim there and drop it in so that's reasonable to me.

I would just try to find a friend that's on T-Mobile and pop his SIM in to verify.

you can get a T-mobile sims right from the website I ordered one with 10 minutes on it for $7 shipped. also allot of stores will sell you one. just tell them you have a phone and are doing pay as you go!
