Hi

I’ve got a new iPad Air 2020 on the way - upgrading from my iPad Air 2. I’m mainly doing this for the spec bump - the extra speed, ram and storage.

What I’d like to know though, is what else I will get that I didn’t have before. This could be nice hardware things (like the True Tone screen), or iPad OS features which were held back from the iPad Air 2 (like the augmented reality stuff)

Does anyone know if this a website or somewhere I can go which will tell me all of the feature differences between models? I can see loads of comparisons of hardware - but I’m more interested in new things I can do which I couldn’t do before.

Thanks.

The Apple site will do this using the 'compare' feature.

Thanks - that has a lot of the hardware stuff, but is there anywhere I can see what iPadOS features I'm gaining. I know when new versions come out, older models don't necessarily get all of the new features, even if they get the OS - like how the iPad Air 1 didn't get the full on-screen multitasking.

It should be capable of watching 4K HEVC videos now. YouTube 4K as well if Google ever allows it.
