How to tell Siri which list to put a reminder in

In my reminders app I have multiple lists; "personal", "lab", "school", etc.

However when I tell siri to make me a reminder, she always puts it in my "lab" list.

Is there any way to tell siri which list to add new reminders to? At the very least I'd like to always have her put them in an uncategorized list and I could sort them later.

I dont think you can tell her which list to pick.

What i did is i left the original "Reminders" list and she just dumps them there. I think you need to set it as your default list or something.

I just checked. You can set your default list in Settings, on the Mail contacts and calendars tab. All the way at the bottom you'll see reminders and you can set your default list.

I have a work and home list. I just say "add a home reminder to walk the dog" and she usuall comes up with a list of my lists to chose from.

Give it a try.

"Siri, add pickles to my reminders grocery list"...done.
Make sure you already have a "grocery" list in reminders, otherwise Siri will ask you to pick a list from the reminders lists.

Not necessarily; some people like keeping things they have to do at home, work, or school separate.

OP, I've been wondering the same thing. I'll have to try some of the suggestions in the thread.

I know the first few times I tried adding tasks to different lists Siri had trouble. But it soon caught on, and now I can easily add to specific lists. I add items all the time by saying "add garlic to my shopping list" or "add pay bills to my home list".

And I use the wonderful 2Do app which syncs with the reminder lists so I can use Siri to add tasks to any of my 2Do calendars. Love it!

OP, I've been wondering the same thing. I'll have to try some of the suggestions in the thread.

I use the default reminder page as a to-do list. Other lists, like Groceries, I only want to see when I'm in that context.
Another helpful list is Future/Recurring. All of those go into their own list because I definitely don't want to see something that occurs, say, once/week. All I want is a popup when it's time to see them.

"Add apples to shopping list."
