Hey guys I unfortunately upgraded to 1.1.2 but I have a 2 week long trip to India in December. I need an unlocked iPhone so I can use it there. So I am wondering if there is a way to tell from outside the box. I plan on going to an AT &T store that is not often visited hopefully to see if they have the older firmware models in stock.

Or is there a way I can downgrade from 1.1.2? My phone was unlocked before the update to 1.1.2

there is no way AT&T can tell your original firmware. If you are using your AT&T service they shouldn't even notice you are unlocked. Just hide any 3rd party software if you have.

Download idemocracy2 and then downgrade your phone to 1.0.2, then downgrade your baseband, then virginize your phone. After that you can upgrade to 1.1.1 and re-unlock it and everything should work perfectly. I made the same mistake but thankfully I was able to get everything downgraded.
