Hi,
I would like to know how to tell which bootloader someone has on their iPhone.
The reason is a friend of mine bought an iPhone with 1.0.0 but had some problems with the touch screen and had to send it to Apple. Now, he got a replacement iPhone since his original one was beyond repair due to Factory Deffects.
His replacement iPhone came with firmware 1.1.1 installed. I know many of you might think then it has the old 3.9 bootlaoder; however, he got the iPhone after the release of the new 1.1.2, which means this 1.1.1 could bring the new bootloader in it.
My friend wants to unlock it, but I keep telling him that even though its the safe 1.1.1 firmware with the possibility of 3.9 bootloader, the iPhone came directly from Apple Care which could mean they installed the new bootloader in it even though it has 1.1.1.
Any one who knows how to tell which bootloader one has is greatly appreciated to post.
