iPad Pro How to Transfer 2.67 GB of Photos to Files APP ?

Can anyone help me here, I have 2.67 GB of Photos which I want to transfer to a Folder in on my iPad in the Files APP. What is the best way to do it ? I do not have an external Drive so cannot use it, or any other Pen Drive. How else efficiently can I do it and using what ? The Photos are on my PC Hard Drive.

I want it to be in the Files APP in a Folder I have created. So you are saying once I have it in Photos from there I should copy it to the Files APP ? is that what you are suggesting ?

is there not any other way ?

Sorry, mental glitch - I read Photos, not Files. You can create an SMB connection within the Files app itself. Under the "..." menu selector in Files there is a Connect to Server option that supports SMB - you can use smb://{your PC name} to connect. Note that to be accessible externally, you have to set folders as Shared on the PC.

Wow this one is tricky. It has been long since I created a Shared Folder on PC so will have to google that info aswell how to do it ? lol ! But Thanks for the tip Man !

This thing worked well, although when you connect to a server from the iPad and try to access a shared folder there is a noticable lag with at times the iPad even getting frozen !

But I am glad it worked. But I would still look out for a solution like sending the files as an attachment to the iPad, if possible.

Glad it worked. The performance problems are a Files issue. I access SMB devices with FileBrowser and stream 5000 Kbps video with nPlayer without a hitch. Files sucks at this point - it needs a lot work.

Hey so the other day I copied some files from my PC to the iPad using the SMB server and after copying the files to the files APP when i was trying to select the files in the files APP and then selected the copy option to move it to my other folders the whole files APP would get hang get stuck non operative !! I am on iPad OS 13.3 do you have any idea why is this happening ?

How many files were you selecting? Did you try fewer? Files is definitely lacking in robustness - I've also had it hang, requiring an iPad restart - so I've been sticking with FileBrowser Business for my file mgmt.

I was trying to Select 3 files in one go !

Something is screwed up (understatement). Where are the files located (folder)? Are they large? What exact steps are you taking? My lockups generally involved dozens of files.

So these are Video files all MP4 should not be more than 120MB Each. And these files are located on my iPad folder in the Files APP.

Edit : But looks like now it did get copied any pasted to the location I wanted. I had to restart the device. Will keep checking and testing again.
