My iPod is 120Gb and is half full. I wanted to transfer files from my friend's computer but i couldnt find how to do it. I've even splited the iPod into 2 partitions using disk utility, and made the 2nd one NTFS but it didnt work. My friend has a Win PC and i have a MBP.
Any ideas?

I think the only real way to do this is if you reformat your iPod in the Windows version of iTunes.

ie Take your iPod to a pc with iTunes installed on it. Restore your iPod, it will be completely wiped. Hit the enable disk use button.
Plug it back into your mac, you should be able to set it up to sync with all your music as before.
Your iPod will now show up in Finder and My Computer, like an external HD allowing you to read/write files on both macs and pcs.

It's not ideal, but mac formatted iPods are just not recognised by Windows at all. I keep one of my iPods Windows formatted for this reason.

i see. my iPod was used when i got it, and it was windows formated. When i set it up with my mac-iTunes it automatically formated the iPod into the mac-file system.

Are you sure it'll be possible to sync my iPod with my mac, if it is windows formated?

thanks

If you want to save the music, download senuti

My iPod mini's Windows formatted and it syncs with a my mac just as my mac formatted one does, so you should be ok :)
If it all goes horribly wrong then you can just reformat it and sync as before anyway.
