That wasn't the question asked. You'll have to transfer the whole iTunes folder and import the library xml file for that.

Songs, Playlists, Photos, Videos, do not get transferred from the backup, everything else will which is what moving those files will do. What you can do is sync them to the computer currently sync'd on the phone and move them via other methods like networking.
how come i can't see the folder 'MobileSync/Backup' on my mac?
do i need to do something first??
As another said just make a new backup on the new computer. Then you can just copy your media over manually.
