ipod to pc?

for a company so against copying music (not that you should of course) apple make it surprisingly easy....

enable disk use on ipod

open it up in windows explorer (make sure you can view hidden folders)

find 'ipod control' folder

then find 'music' folder

there should be loads of folders with random names

copy all of these into your itunes music folder (normally 'my music' > 'itunes' > 'itunes music')

then add it all in itunes, make sure you have the thingy that organises music in the folder then it should rename and sort all your music.

i cant say that i have tried this with a whole load of music but it worked when i accidently deleted some of music from my pc.

or google 'ipod ripper' that should get something.

No songs on iPod

Hi! I was recently using my ipod and connected it to my Mac Book... after a bad move I disconnected the iPod without ejecting it properly. Suddenly when I turned it on there was no music in it!
So I'm trying to reach the iPod's hidden files and back them up in my computer (since I erased my music from it long time ago), so I can now restore the ipod. My only question is (since I saw that all my music had weird names): If i replace my iPod_Control Folder from my now restored iPod, with the iPod_Control Folder with my music (recovered), will everything go back to normal? Or would you recommend me to do something else?
It'd be of great help if someone could tell me!
