How do I go about transfering my documents from iDisk to iCloud. Mobile me shows you how to transfer everything else but I cant seem to find out how to move my documents over.

If that's the case, there doesn't appear to be a place where I can load documents in iCloud. Is there a place like iDisk on iCloud?

No. The feature has been dropped. Go to iCloud and you've lost you're iDisk.
No you don't, I converted to iCloud and my iDisk works just fine like it always has.

Either way, you lose it come next June.

Dropbox works better anyway, I have old files still in iDisk, but more and more using Dropbox.

iDisk gets closed in June like he said

Use Dropbox (I have found a friendly way of transferring stuff over though)

If you enable iCloud in Pages (on each device), your pages docs show up on your other iOS devices. The same is (presumably true) for Numbers and Keynote. There is no way to put arbitrary files in iCloud (yet). As it gets closer to June 2012, I expect Apple to offer some sort of general file locker besides forcing us all to move to dropbox.

For now I'm using idisk (less than I used to), box.net, dropbox and skydrive. Dropbox seems to have the best iOS and OS X integration so far but the jury is still out.

Then there is the issue of what to do with photos. Right now, I'm looking at moving my iPhoto MobileMe galleries. I've thought of moving them to flickr, picasa and snapfish. Snapfish requires a membership just to view photos. flickr can only make prints through snapfish. Picasa doesn't have a direct link to iPhoto. I'm still stuck in neutral, looking for a better mobile me gallery alternative and I'm still undecided.

I've settled on Dropbox as sole service going forward.

For email, MobileMe-> iCloud transition removed the ability to tie my domain to my me.com account. Previously, I had my private domain email forward to me.com, and it could reply as my private email. So I used their web interface. They removed that option so I've moved my private email to be hosted on Google Apps for contacts, email, and calendar.

For photos, already had good google account tied into my domain, so gone with Picasa. It all integrates really well. A guy created a 'Web Albums' app which works really well for managing it from the iPad, it's not universal, so I don't bother from the phone.

With iOS5, Apple decided they didn't want me using their services very much and shoved me away.

Until June next year iDisk will work just as it always has.

With iCloud you can have documents stored in the clound at iCloud.com

The "pages" part is compatible with pages documents (though they are converted to iOS version) PDF and .doc.

The Keynote part will store Keynote and .PPT files.

To get them there you need to upload them via the website.

There are Apps that let you upload various files to iCloud as third party solutions though nil are the same as iDisk. (and you can unofficially add to them on a Mac from the ~/Library/Mobile Documents folder

I suspect there will be a solution by June. I think Apple has got it wrong with their vision of iCloud. Yes it is good to be able to share files across all devices, but not all synced with different Apps.

it's not working for me anymore

I moved to iCloud and my iDisk had been working until recently. Now when I sync my iDisk and try to access the files there from my iPhone (from say Numbers or the iDisk app) the files, which are on my MacBook Air and seem to be on iDisk (when I sync it tells me it completed the sync) but I can't see them on my iPhone…this used to work, but doesn't anymore?
