My parents are getting older and are having trouble logging into stuff. They use Dashlane, which I have no familiarity with at all, and it sounds like a nightmare - I guess they manually retrieve a password every time they need it. This is proving to be really difficult for them lately (my dad has been having some health issues that are compounding the problem) to the extent that they have just stopped watching Netflix on one of their TVs because they don't know how to login to it. I think there are some interoperability issues - maybe they are able to work it on their laptops but not phones etc.
I don't live near them unfortunately but I want to understand the issue so that next time I see them I can just quickly resolve the issue. What they need, it sounds like to me, is to just transition to using Safari and Keychain for everything. I'm scared that's going to be a nightmare - am I going to have to visit every site in dashlane, enter the password from dashlane, and then tell Safari to remember it? Or is there an easier way?
Alternately, is it possible for Dashlane to be simpler somehow? Is there like an extension for safari and other things where it can just autofill passwords?
