Did a quick search and didn't find anything ... am assuming I am out of luck but wanted to ask:

When I listen to music on the iPod app on my iPad, the first thing I always have to do is top on the screen to activate the buttons so I can hit the back button to make the album art go away.

I even removed the art for a couple of things and it pops up the generic art ...

Is there any way to kill this? I have no desire for full-screen artwork.

Doesn't seem to be an option to turn off. I agree it's somewhat pointless and annoying.

I also wish there was an off setting. Don't forget you can swipe to the right to return at the album art screen to return to the previous screen. I find it easier that tapping to the get the menu and then pressing the back button. :)

This is definately something that I've noticed and am annoyed at. What's the point of showing us the album artwork when half of them are pixelated or missing?

WOW... I was just going to start this thread today... well, OP was ahead of me by a few minutes, but this is a concern to me too. It'd be so nice to have the iTunes interface on iPod for iPad... but when you press play, the album art becomes full display... instead lying in the lower-left hand corner as it should. Very annoying, agreed.

Anyone find a way out yet? Probably no way to avoid this.

agreed. this annoys me as well as i have to swipe away the full album art to get back to the album list.

maybe we should escalate this to Apple as a feature request?

I love the album art but I do not like when it's all pixelated. Missing artwork can be pasted in in iTunes, by the way. My OCD will not tolerate missing artwork.

I wish wish wish I could see the digital artwork "booklets" that come with purchased albums. WHY CAN'T WE? We paid for it. It would be useful and viewable on the iPad. I want that option!

If you're using 600 x 600 pixel artwork, it doesn't look that bad.

That's the thing though... some of us have artwork that's just a tad bit smaller than that (450 x 450, for example) and it doesn't look well at all. I'm not even talking about downloaded MP3... as a long-time Mac developer, I've used iTunes and purchased certain songs from the interface back in the day--perhaps 4-5 years ago when the album arts were not exactly 600 x 600, so they look pixelated and fuzzy on the iPad at full screen resolution.

It's just that... unless you want to see a full screen album art by pressing on it in the lower-left corner, you shouldn't have to see it once you tap on a song to play. It'd make the interface much quicker and more likely more preferable... at least to most people.

The OCD in me has noticed this too, and I'm resiting the urge to scour Google Images and other sources for high res album art.
I did this for the iPhone, when lower res (300x300) was sufficient, but I've found that the majority of them really are low res, and when I get my iPhone 4.5:D next year, I'll have to do it anyway(aesthetics are everything man).

I have a script that will scan your files and put the artwork size in the composer field.

There are sites that provide High Rez cover art for practically every album ever made. They look fantastic on the Ipad.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Most of my song are doesn't have album art. And i hate full screen album art
