Im trying to us back to my mac feature on my 20" iMac...i know the the mac can not be asleep, but is there a way to not have it go to sleep but to have the monitor shut off?

System Preferences > Energy Saver > Sleep.

Just set the computer to sleep "never" but the display to sleep after a certain amount of time.

Just set the screen to sleep and the system to never sleep. Unfortunately, the newer screens cannot just have the brightness turned to off, like the older ones.

Use a hot corner to 'sleep display' and move the mouse there every day before you leave the computer
