Hi, I connected my MacBook Pro 2021 to an external 4K TV. Everything on the Mac's LCD screen turned very small. I went to Display but unlike the MacBook Pro 2019, the mirroring check box is not available. Also, when I clicked Display Settings, on the left there is a list of two items: my MacBook Pro 2021's name internal Retina display and my MacBook Pro 2021 name's followed by MEC-O-3-H. Why it is not one for the laptop's internal display and one for the external 4K TV?

The listing is normal: on mine it shows <computer name> and then the name of the display in the list for each connected display when I've got an external connected. Looks like "MEC-O-3-H" is what the TV is identifying itself as.

The mirroring option is under "Use as" in display settings now: on mine I have "Main display", "Extended display" and "Mirror for built-in Liquid Retina display" in the dropdown list when I have the external selected in the list of active displays on the left.

No worries, glad it's sorted. I think the new layout of the Displays pane makes more sense than the old one when you get used to it, but it's a bit confusing until you work out where everything is! MacBook is great, very pleased with the upgrade from my 2016...
