iPhone How to turn off notifications when playing game?

I always Facebook, Whatsapp, Messages, Tapatalk etc notifications when playing games. This gets annoying as it distracts me from the game. Is there any way I can disable these notifications only when playing games? I would still like the notifications to show a red circle in the app icon so that I don't miss them out.

Turn on Do Not Disturb when you start playing your game. The notifications will still come to your phone, they just won't pop up while playing your game. Turn it off after your game to start your push notifications alerting you again.

"NotiQuiet" from Cydia. It can turn off notifications while you're using specific apps.

Yeah, just turn on the do not disturb thing. Then turn off when you are done
