How to undo a jailbreak?

hey guys i have jailbroken my iphone 3g. i was wondering if i needed to take it to the apple store, how to i remove the jailbreak? The only reason why i used it was to activate it, i dont currently use it as a phone. i believe there is a problem with my wifi so i want to take it without the jailbreak. i don't want to have the need sim card screen.
 
Just do a software restore in iTunes, and the Jailbreak is gone. Just make sure it is activated when you take it into the store, on you won't get any help.

well the problem is that i dont have a sim card and cant get past the need sim card page. (im currently waiting on my contract to end waiting to switch off verizon)

Say i borrow my friends ATT sim to get my iphone past the activation screen, can i bring it to the apple store without a sim? will they still service it without the sim in it? Applecare is still in effect.
 
all you do is plug in your device, and click the restore button on the itunes page. and there you go no more jailbreak.
 
when i click on restore it comes up with a error 14 so now i cant restore it back to normal what can i do?

Put it in "recovery mode" (turn it off, hold down the home button while plugging it in to your computer, keep holding until iTunes sees it in recovery mode) and give it a shot.

Actually, DFU Mode would be the better choice to try. :)

Because it always works? :) No sense in trying one way and a certain percentage of time it may not work and then you still have to try DFU mode.

I'm all about less variables/work. :)

Haha, well true... You do make a point. I just thought I'd mention restore mode since it's typically a little easier to do than DFU.
