Hi all,

I have downloaded a .rar file extension and used either unarchiver, unrarx or archive utility application but it seems when I unrar the file, it just extract to multiple zipped files. Now on windows you just click the one zip file and everything extracts to one file. But this does not work for my mac, anything I need to do or did I miss a step?

Please see attachment on what I am talking about.

I unzip using something like betterzip or whatever, and it creates a bunch of separate folders for each zip part. Then I use easyfind app (free) to search the main folder for .zip files. Then I drag them all to the first folder and delete behind me to clean up. It is not as tedius as the alternative ways to handle this.

As of now, there is no unzipping app for mac that does what winrar and others do with these sort of multiple zip files does in windows. There must be some reason that none of the aftermarket zipp apps can do it. None. Or maybe it's just one big fat oversight coincidence.
