How to use Apple Pay w/o Assistive Touch?+

With the new iOS 17.4 I con't use Apple Pay with double clicking the left side button. It wants me to use Assistive Touch. But Assistive Touch puts a whitish button over the home screen which obscures Home Screen icons.
Are there setup choices that allow the old way of double clicking?

Thats weird. I can use apple pay without triggering assistive touch.
You may want to check if assistive touch is completely turned off. There’s also a setting called “top button confirmation” (wording may appear differently on iPhone) which controls how normal double click works.

Thanks for posting. You gave me the motivation to do some more hunting through Settings, and I eventually found the way to do it.
