How to use Bonjour service with a VPN connection

Hi,

I am trying to use AirFoil on both my Macbook and PC for streaming music to my audio system and this application relies on that the Bonjour (zeroconf) service is running. Problem is, i use a VPN connection on both my devices and when doing so, the Bonjour service gets disabled and there is no way to enable it again from my experience.

Is there any way to solve this?

Bonjour won't work over a VPN b/c it's broadcast traffic — and chatty broadcast traffic at that. Broadcast packets can't / won't / don't travel over VPNs for efficiency's sake, unless you want to get into GRE tunneling.
