Sorry for the noob question...but I can't find out how to connect my iMacs cd drive to my MacBook air so that I can install a program... Thanx for the help!!!

The installation discs that come with Macs are model-specific and are not for use on other models.

On the iMac, open Settings
Go to the "Sharing" section
Check "DVD or CD Sharing"

Once enabled, the MBA should see the drive and be able to connect to it.

If you have the Firewall on the iMac turned on, you may have to allow sharing there as well.

Pretty sure there is a good description on Apple's support site as well :)

So, it is possible? How wonderful! I'll save a few bucks through not buying an external DVD for Air one day I purchase it.
