OK, I have successfully set up a VPN connection to my work server (running MS SBS 2003 if it makes any difference), the iPad shows the VPN icon at the top of the screen, and when I go back into the settings it shows the IP address and time connected.

So far, so good....

But how do I actually access the server? I can't see anything obvious within the iPad functions. Or is there an app for this?

What do you mean, access the server? You're basically "inside" your network already. So anything that normally works from your own network, but wouldn't from outside it, should now work.

I suppose the best question is: why did you set up the VPN?

When connecting to the server on a Windows PC, I can logon as administrator and carry out all the functions I would as if I were in the office, i.e. a terminal emulator. I can also access shared drives, etc.

When you say I'm already inside my network, how can I see that and what can I can with that on an iPad?
