Is there a way to view the non-mobile version of a website from mobile Safari?

Take ESPN as an example. When you go to www.espn.com from mobile Safari, it redirects you to the "mobile" version of the ESPN site. I'd like to be able to view the "desktop" version of the site. Is that possible from mobile Safari?

At the very bottom of the mobile ESPN site, there is a link (right above the sign in link) that says ESPN.com. It should take you to the full site. Most sites have the ability to do this, but not all.

So if there isn't an option to go to the full version of the website, am I SOL?

As far as I know (and have been able to find out from other posts on here), there isn't a way around this problem if they don't offer a link to the full version. Sometimes, there are sites that have ways to access their full site, but might not put the link on their site. It's worth emailing them to see if they can give you a URL to do that.

The good news is that more and more sites are offering the option to access the full sites. I suspect that the iPhone users might be driving that trend because it's so much easier to use the full sites from the iPhone.
