MBHockey macrumors 601 Oct 4, 2003 4,063 314 Connecticut Jul 31, 2008 #2 If you have iPhone Software 2.0 on your 1st gen iPhone there's an option to erase all the data (Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Contents and Settings). It will take about an hour. I'm not sure how secure it is though.
