I have a late 2012 mini and its running quite warm to the touch at the moment. I have iStat menus running and it currently says the CPU cores are 81 and 83 and the CPU die is 83, this is in celsius. The mini is driving 3x23" LCD monitors and is connected to an external USB 3 enclosure with 4 drives. I have a number of programs open and out of the 8GB of RAM it says I have 2.73 free at the moment. I am not doing anything cpu intensive so not sure why its running so warm, if this is indeed considered warm.

No I can't hear the fan running, but I can see through iStat menus that it is, at the moment the mini has cooled down to 76 and 77 for the CPU cores and 77 for the cpu die. Guess it depends on the work load.

That's about right. Mine idles around 40. If I handbreak it's around 87 and the fan is about 1900.

mine idle's at around 50 but i have a lot of stuff constantly running at the background...

Mine runs between 70 and 90 degrees celsius almost always. Its not idle it always got programs running

Mine is not getting warm at all. It is sitting in a box somewhere in a factory in China.

My mini gets very warm some days, bordering on slightly hot. I'm not too worried about it though, the fans don't go berserk for long and this only happens when ive got several applications open at once or playing Guild Wars. I think she's fine and capable of running at warm temps
