Did the store go down overnight with new machines in the am?

I know there was no event for them but jut wondering how they might be introduced this time around.

Usually the store goes down.

And when its back up theres new stuff. Im guessing your hopeing for tommorow as well? :p

Yeah, I'm hoping the new imacs are quieter :)

Do you remember if it was a morning intro though, middle day, 5pm?

Hm well all I remember was the macbook pro.

For that, it went down at like 6AM and came back up at around 9AM

Cant say I remember the iMac though =/

And not to be negative but I have a bad feeling its not tomorrow. Not enough rumors about stock and stuff ya know? The wait is killing me!

I was wondering something along the same lines, as well, actually.

For the MBP, wasn't the date announced a few days prior to the refresh?

I'm just wondering if this is Apple's usual approach, or whether they might just go ahead and add it to the store with no announcement in the days leading up to the refresh.

Makes sense that Tue would be the right day to do it with the update of Final Cut Pro. Have faith I wouldn't be surprised if they show off Final Cut Pro on a new Imac, what would be more appropriate.
As for supplies dwindling on the older models prior to the release, does Apple really keep that large an inventory of Imacs on hand??? After all its not the Iphone or Ipad.

All iMacs available within 24hrs with no rumours of supply shortage. This Tuesday update looks very promising and possible.

Im from Sweden and over here you can really see supply shortages. Our biggest retailer of electronics dont have a single iMac in stock. And they are not the only one with supply shortages.

my guess would be that this is a good sign that the refresh is close -- but until we see the same stock shortages stateside, we're not REALLY close.

end of april/beginning of may is still the fair assumption. earlier than that would be a lovely surprise tho. :D

There have been reports for the last couple of weeks about supply shortages. Several reports on these very forums as well.

There are a few stock issues in Denmark also - there are still stock and the standard specs, but if you need BTO then they don't have an estimated time at the moment.

Crossing my fingers for release this week.

It will not be today so don't get your hopes up seriously.

On a side note though the stock on amazon uk is much tighter than previously.
With the 27" out of stock but more coming in 2 days.

May.

Its like you expect iMacs to be sold out like macbook pros!? It's not like the stores gonna be all empty with their staff crying for more, before they release new imacs.
I think Apple's profit will be bigger the sooner they release them. Cause more and more people are getting aware of the upcoming refresh - meaning they dont buy the current imacs.

My local store in spain (not an apple store) have 1 27 inch available and thats a display model

iMac in South America

Im wating to buy my first iMac and Id like to know if the new iMac will be released in the Apple Store (Brazil) at the same time as in the Apple Store (US). I dont know about the macs but the iPad and iPhone usually take 2 months to get here, becouse they have to pass through a government telecommunication agency (ANATEL) to be evaluated before they go for sale. Im asking if the iMacs are released at the same time around the world or each country has its release date, especially South America.

AppleInsider sponsor MacMall on Tuesday again teamed with eBay to offer readers a killer deal on Apple's 3.06GHz 21.5-inch iMac, selling brand new units for $1,048.99 while supplies last - Apple Insider

Another sign:) April release....Im sure of it:D

im betting last week of april guys, dont get ur hopes up for tommorow, i doubt it will be out tommorow

I'm from Brazil as well and yes they become available (on the online store) here in the same day, at least thats how it was with the macbook pros and the mini, not sure about the authorized resellers tough...
