How well does your phone multitask?

Lets explore the limit on how many active foreground and background tasks your phone can handle without slow down and share screen shots. Here's mine to start with.

Stock Verizon Galaxy S6 64GB.

3 active foreground tasks: full screen Need for Speed Most Wanted game, windowed Twitch.tv Counter-Strike live feed in source quality, windowed 1080p movie with native movie player

2 active background tasks: BubbleUPnP pushing 1080p movie to another phone, JuiceSSH SSH session to router

It's not breaking sweat so I'm thinking of ways to add more foreground tasks perhaps two games running in split screen mode.

Download TubeMate, Flud, or uTorrent and download as many movie collections and entire TV series like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and The Wire as you can. While having them download in the background, browse the web.

If it doesn't lag yet, try downloading Dreamcast and GameCube emulators. Many phones right now would have a hard time playing them if Intel i3's can't play them smoothly. Emulating a decade and a half old consoles will start showing the limitations of your current smartphone since they aren't 10X as powerful and the architecture is completely different and complicated. Heck, some dude tried to build the most perfect SNES emulator with 4 GB of RAM! Say even if it can play smoothly and all that, it will heat up and your battery will degrade just as fast.

Your phone will lag or hang. If it doesn't now because it is still fresh out of the box and has no bloated updates to slow it down, it eventually will. You are just going through that new car smell but with a smartphone. Honeymoon phase is out the window real quick. I love smartphones but collecting them and updating your daily driver frequently is a waste of money and time when you know many aren't built to last and will show their age real quick the moment you take them out out of the box.

Not being too scientific about it, but my Galaxy Note 3 has been the best handset i've had in terms of not slowing down. This is basically because Samsung threw everything at it. The snapdragon 800 is still a very competitive CPU and its 3GB of ram means it never slows down and never refreshes.

Here is hoping my Galaxy S6 edge Plus suffers the same fate!
