how well will it run if you upgrade from tiger instead of getting a fresh install on a new machine?
I thought Leopard was coded to run better on Intel machines than Tiger does now.
If that's the case it should run better than Tiger.
Those of us running PowerPC machines should wonder if we'll be in the penalty box with Leopard.
it wont.
You cant run leopard on these iMacs.
You have to buy a new one when leopard is released.
...
Seriously it will run fantastically. Get over yourselves.
Funnily enough I just tried Leonard 9A499 on my new iMac, it installed ok, but not after failing to recognise the HDD.
Next time try putting Leopard on instead of Leonard and it might work better... haha just giving you a hard time!

Got it on with a bit of jiggery-pokery, reboot, white screen of death. I can hear the Apple Welcome Movie, mouse works, keyb seems to work although I cant see where to type...
Ended up with my Tiger partition buggered. No matter, I'm still in install everything and rebuild mode, back to normal now.
Works fine on my PowerMac and G5 iMac.
I don't think it recognised sth in the new iMac system, prolly the vid card, although install routine gfx are fine...
It's our joke name on the UK mac newsgroups!
To mimic our American cousins we referred to Jaguar as 'Jag-warrr'.......
haha reminds me of an SNL stketch
"Would you like to take a ride in my jag-u-ar?"
It will run on G4's, I think you're safe.
