Im guessing it will essentially be the same thing. You should be able to convert your existing Yahoo Mail account to Push mail.

1. Yes, regular Yahoo! Mail should work just fine on the iPhone.

2. It is possible because most likely it uses a POP3 or IMAP connection which the iPhone is compatible with.

3. Yahoo! Push Mail will be a bit different because from my understanding, regular POP3 or IMAP mail has to be pulled from the server, IE: the messages will only appear when they are downloaded from the server. (It can check for messages at certain intervals such as 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc) Push mail is different because it rather than having messages wait to be downloaded from the mail server, it automatically shows up as a new message as soon as it arrives, no waiting for iPhone to check for mail required.

Please see hear for more information regarding push email.

Personally, I'm really excited for it.

In the Apple iPhone activation video, during the part about syncing stuff over through iTunes, there was a button/checkbox to allow you to sync your Yahoo! Mail contacts. I'm pretty sure that would require you to enter in your Yahoo! Mail ID and password, which would then (possibly; this is just conjecture) automatically set up, if you want (perhaps there would be another checkbox or whatever), push e-mail for your Yahoo! Mail account.
