Hi everyone ,
I saw a few threads about a “ratting noise” and I don’t know exactly what does it mean or how to described it.
Is It just a kind of noise or it kind of sensation, feeling in your ear canal?
Thank you .

Is it like a buzzing/feedback kinda sound? Cause i get that in my left ear

I would get a crackling sound in my left earphone when on phone calls or if I sneezed. I had the earphone replaced and luckily the replacement had the same firmware as the right one which was not replaced.

For me just touching the left Airpod causes a squeaky noise only when sound cancellation or transparency is on. I can't run with either option as it squeaks with each step... it is so irritating. I've tried the different Apple buds and some memory foam ones (in case it was the fit) and the only fix is to disable cancellation/transparency.

Very tempted to try for a replacement once the Apple Stores open up again... I am also tempted to trade them in at any random store in Akihabara for some gen 2 Airpods. I find the fit so much better on my old gen 1 (they are a little beat up though!)
