Hello everyone,

I was activating my phone this morning and got a purple screen in the process now my phone appears bricked. I called the 1800 number and told the tech guy what happened and he gave me a case number. He said take the number to the genius and they will be able to help.

My question is: How willing are the geniuses to replace the phone, no hassle? Reason I wondered is, I may have to have my dad who is tech retarded take it in. Will the genius be able to read the case notes and replace it without any further info needed from my dad?

Thanks!

They will replace it as long as you were legitimately activating it. Especially if your dad can't explain what happened.

I'm guessing, of course. But Apple Geniuses seem to be reasonable..

I had one that failed prior to activation- the screen wouldn't work for any touch input.

INSTANT REPLACE, no problem!

Quick Replace

Half my screen stopped responding to my touch yesterday after 6 months of use and they gave me a new one right away. It's great, no more scratches!
