iPhone How would i go about unlocking a Sprint iphone 4s ?

But if you cannot find a sim interposer that will work, you are out of luck.

Edit: For purposes of my answer I'm assuming threadstarter wants to use the phone on a different US carrier.

Unlocks are not only for GSM phones. You can get a Verizon 4s unlocked.

Here is how to get your Sprint iPhone unlocked for International use only.

1. Become a Sprint customer by activating a line with Sprint and paying your $36 dollar activation fee.

2. Be a customer in good standing for 90 days and pay your bill on time.

3. At the end of 90 days call Sprint and ask for an International unlock.

I'm guessing though that you want a complete unlock. Well, as mentioned you are out of luck. Sprint only unlocks for international use and only if you follow the rules that I just mentioned. Sprint will not under any circumstances unlock a phone for domestic U.S. use. If you cannot be a customer for 90 days you are out of luck.

There is no third party commercial unlock available either, whereby you pay someone to unlock your phone. Your only hope is a SIM interposer as mentioned and those have drawbacks. The main one being that an interposer is not an unlock.

I use a R7sim on a JB 6.1.2 4s Verizon. Its 80% reliable. I think the new r9Sims support ios 7, but I don't know...
