How would you feel if the next iPhone (4G) was thicker, but had better battery life?

Would you be averse to any increase in thickness, or would you gladly give up the tapered sides for an increase in charge?

Well, looking at those "leaked" pics, it seems like it will house a bigger battery. The "iPhone 4" seems more square and brickish. It doesn't have the rounded edges like the current iPhones. Looks like a MBP.

I would GLADLY trade some thickness for a healthy increase in battery life. I have an otterbox on my phone right now, so what's a few more milimeters!!

There is something seriously wrong with your iphones if you can't get a full day out of them. I would not be happy with a thicker phone. I can't live without my iphone but if they make them as heavy as a paper weight and big as a brick i will have to go another route.

I would be ok with a slightly thicker phone for more life. Although with my case on my current iPhone it's getting kinda thick alredy

I think apple can keep the current thickness and get more life, be it shrink the logic board make more room for a better battery, or get a better capacity battery, with higher density. . Or a mix of both.

Hmmm.. Can't believe none of u have said this... They found that iPhone prototype in a what??? 3G CASE!!! That means it's going to be the same size as the current iPhone theoretically...

agree. Absolutely would not give up thinness for improved battery life as my 3GS already lasts over a day easily.

as long as the trade off was reasonable...6-7 hours of use of my iphone now so i would welcome a longer lasting device at the cost a little size

I would like to keep the thickness the same. The OS and components get less power hungry each generation it seems, so as long as they keep the size the same we should see a slight increase in battery life.

Honestly I got so tired of having to set and unset energy-saving preferences regarding Wifi, 3G, GPS etc. that I bought a Mophie Juice Pack Air. So I have already adopted a thicker iPhone with a longer battery life.

I just wish Apple would provide user customizable settings profiles, preferably that can recognize one's location (work, home) by GPS, and perhaps create an iPhone model with a larger battery for extended use.
