Are the new (meaning manufactured in the past couple of months) iPhone 3GS still having the "yellow tint" issue that plagued a number of the launch 3GS???

I ask this because I just bought an iPhone 3 days ago... I don't know if it's my imagination or my OCD but my screen seems "warm." It's weird because the colors seem to be more vibrant and sharp than my previous launch 3GS from June... But I swear the whites have more of a dull white look to them.

How yellow are the yellow tint iPhones? Is white space on their screens supposed to be literally a faint yellow??? Is it that noticeable? Cuz if it is, I think my mind is playing tricks on me and my screen is fine.

i believe the yellow tint fades. whether its the coating as it wears off or something else i don't know, but my 3gs had the yellow tint when i upgraded from the 3 about a month or two after launch. when next to each other it was noticeable. however, it quickly went (i assume my eyes just got used to it since i don't sit with the 3gs and the 3g next to each other comparing screens) and now when i use my phone next to someone else with a 3g or 3gs i don't see a colour difference at all.

It was only a difference in screen gamma.

The pre 3G iphones had a relatively cool temperature, while the 3Gs and 3GSs are warmer. It's slightly more noticeable if you turn the brightness down.

As far as everyday use, it doesn't make any real difference unless you're actively looking for something to whinge about.

While it may only be a difference in gamma, then why do some have the yellowish tint and most do not have it? You would think Apple would get it locked down by now. Where I work, I still see some of them come out of the box after activation with a yellowish tint. Half the customers notice it and have read about it and ask for another iPhone and we have to open another one for them. It's frustrating.

It's not so much the yellow tint, it's more the lack of deep blacks that I have trouble with.
This is my second phone and it's not as good as the first one because:
a) The colours are not quite as strong
b) They have a yellow tint if you view the phone straight-on
c) The light that leaks through the black background prevents me from using it as an alarm clock at night.

Now, let's review XciteMe's posts.

On November 24, your 3 day old iphone has a yellow screen.

On November 21, your screen was vibrant and beautiful.

On November 17, you were mad, because the phone line hadn't been cancelled after you returned you iphone.

On November 1, your iphone fell in the tub. You wanted a new phone and you had to start a new line to get one without paying full price.

On October 29, you told us you had sold your iPhone and were switching to Droid.

On October 26, you didn't want to unlock an iphone, because it was a form of piracy and that was wrong. See October 20.

On October 24 you make fun of people who are obsessed with specks of dust. See October 21.

On October 22, you want to sell your iphone.

On October 21, you have a speck of dust around the home button.

On October 20, you tell us that you do drugs and have pron on your computer.

I could go on about how you roll your eyes for the Apple fanboys and all the other BS in your other posts.

Every time I read one of your posts, I'm reminded of a song. Darn, now those lyrics will be going through my head all day.

...How could you believe me when I said "I Love You"
When you know I've been a liar all my life?
I've had that reputation since I was a youth -
You must have been insane to think I'd ever tell the truth...
when you know I've been a liar, nothing but a liar, all my doggone cheatin' life.

You made my day and raised a smile.

I suspect that only the last one is true.
