Have a 1 year old 27" iMac 4k.
Have been putting off the newer El Capitan due to all the complaints i heard in the beginning.

So, is it yet time to upgrade, or not? :)

Wondering how other 4k iMacs have fared?

Thx

Assuming you mean 27" iMac 5K, I haven't had any issues with it on mine.

Thanks.
Good to hear.

I haven't had time to check in for a while but all I see are complaints about the OS.

Had Not yet determined if our iMacs were affected or mainly much older macs

If you're judging based on what you read here most of what you find will be negative. Most here are here to fix an issue. The majority of satisfied users don't seek out forums. The rest of the people like me are satisfied with the OS but hang out to learn and help.

Good to know.
I will update it tomorrow then.
It seemed as if the complaint ratio for this OS was much higher than I had remembered earlier updates.

But you make a good point. Satisfied customers rarely complain.

Thx

No problems on the 5K iMac I use at work. Most people around my office are on 10.11x too and I've not heard a whimper or whine about El Capitan for months. But, yea, I agree with GS: most folks come to this forum to solve a problem or complain and not to write about how great an OS is. if the OS works well they're busy working and living life and won't waste time visiting forums to say all is well...
