Just wondering how everyones AirTags batteries are holding up?
I got my AirTags on May 1st.
Ive got 1 on my work ID that has basically stayed on the same shelf since I put it on there due to WFH since the pandemic began - this has basically a full battery. I actually put it on there as I was worried I wouldn't be able to find it when it was time to go back to the office!
There is 1 in my wallet, which is maybe 1/5th depleted, I tend to use a card holder / Apple Pay most of the time so rarely take my wallet out and haven't yet repurposed the tag. Again it just sits in a draw.
I have 1 on my motorbike key which I use maybe 1/2 times a week, again less usage due to the pandemic. This is about 50% done.
And one on my house key, that just alerted me today its time to change the battery.
It seems to me, the more you use the item the tag is attached to, the more battery you use. Which makes sense as its working harder to constantly track the item and ping off of other iPhones out in the wild.
However we are looking at a life time of about 6 months so a 50% below what Apple say. So interested to see how that compares with your usage.
No issue, the batteries are a few pence each so I'll get that swapped out. Just an interesting observation.
