How’s your iPhone X battery life holding up on iOS 12? I mean compared to iOS 11.

Is it:

A lot worse on iOS 12 (Usage reduced by > 1 hr)

Slightly worse on iOS 12 (Usage reduces by up to 30 mins)

Very similar

Slightly better (Usage increased by up to 30 mins)

Much better (Usage increased by > 1 hr)

XS Max never came with iOS 11! What are you comparing it with that was on iOS 11?

Also, you need Coconut Battery or iMazing to check battery health and cycles for your iDevices.

My X is now a year old and the battery is fine with iOS 12, charge it every other day.

I would venture to say probably worse since iOS 12. My X battery was at 91% max capacity when I installed iOS 12 in September. Now it is at 87% on iOS 12.1.

If it is just 15% worse that’s normal with your battery health. If it is >20% worse then that’s an issue.
