Finally figured out problem with HP PSC 2210v all in one printer. Since I installed 10.6 I have had a problem starting up my iMac. Would take a couple of minutes to boot up and then the first couple of minutes when the screen comes up it is frozen. Then after this it starts working. Spent an hour on phone with Apple and couldn't figure it out. They told me to bring to an Apple authorized dealer in town to look at it. They spent a couple of days with it and called me that it worked just great everytime they turned it on--booted up right away. So asked what else I have plugged into computer at home--I have an external hard drive and printer. So brought in hard drive to dealer, plugged it in, and again started up just fine. So they said could be printer. Brought computer and hard drive home, hooked up and started up--worked great. Then plugged in HP 2210 and there was the problem again--about 5 minutes before computer is up and running. So problem found. Thought I could just download latest HP driver--but nothing has helped. Unless any of you can help me out--guess it is time to buy a new printer. Any suggestions?

I don't know what the problem could be, but have you used Disk Utility to look, if your system hard drive is okay? Maybe it could be failing.Or a Permission Verification and Repair can help.

HP 2210v printer and Snow Leopard

All fixed---with the latest download from HP with updated software for 10.6. Works perfect now.
