I'm possibly very outdated with this, but what the heck:

Edit: Did some background check, it was released 'bout September last year. How did such an engineering marvel not get noticed till now?

good thing too, cuz i wouldn't want steve worrying that hp has stolen their concept and turned it into the best looking and preforming pc ever

My mistake. Guess Apple has nothing to worry about...

There are these however. HP's touchsmart and Dell's XPS One. The XPS comes in 4 packages, the most expensive having a Blueray drive. They all have 2GB RAM as standard. The top two model's have the ATI RADEON HD2400 which is the graphics card used by the base iMac 2GHz machine. The touchsmart has an older NVIDIA 7600GT graphics card and comes with 2GB RAM as standard. I suspect whenever the current iMacs are updated, they will come with 2Gb RAM as standard.

What holds that all together, Velcro? See now that would be cool. Having a detachable CPU Velcro'd to the back of your monitor. Maybe some Velcro for your mouse too. And additional CPU's -- how many do you need? Frankly I'm shocked that Dell hasn't jumped on board with Velcro Computing yet.

Prior to buying my new iMac I went to Best Buy to take a look at one.

A salesperson came over and asked if the 'all-in-one' design attracted me, and I told him ... " sort of, but also interested in Apple OSX "

He showed me one or two of those units shown above, but I was unimpressed.

Went to the Apple Store and got the 24" iMac instead.

If I want to infect a computer with Windows I can do it on the iMac! :D

For any of you who have watched Star Trek: The Next Generation, doesn't the HP all-in-one look like Borg technology?

Well...

The first one shown is pretty bad looking. That other one wasn't so bad, but my main reason for going with my iMac is because I wanted to get away from Windows and all the crap that comes with it. I've had my iMac now for 13 days and loving it each day.

Also, why post about non-mac related products on an Apple specific site? Its like a S$ny/M$ console owner posting on a 'rivals' forum. :)

Anyone could ask themselves why Mac Rumors had the "Microsoft $44bn" deal with Yahoo as the main story on the homepage, the reason is because it is relevant to the technology world. Competitors to Apple's products is most definitely relevant. It doesn't have to be from Apple to be relevant. No-where does it say people aren't allowed to discuss non apple products.

True..

Your right there. Guess it helps to see the crap others put out to better appreciate our purchase. Seeing that first one sure made me want to hug my iMac and tell it "there there now, I'll protect you from the monster". ;)

Hope I didn't come across as the censor police. Free speech and all that jazz. :D
