on sprints network, its a base fall back system of CDMA, with hot spots of 4G. does this mean that it can be on Bell/Telus because their fall back network is CDMA?

technically it should work on bell/telus' cdma network.

But i'm 99.9% sure bell/telus won't activate any phone that is not sold by them.

unlock maybe? I dont know how the CDMA network works cause it doesnt use SIM cards... so you cant just put in a sim card and use the network, even though with my Iphone I can select Bell 3G or Bell (CDMA) obviously it doesnt work on Bell (CDMA) but its an option...

P.S. one of the coolest things ive seen is the ability to stream your video live to the web so others can watch!!
P.S.S. It's 3G compatible as well so that should work with every carrier in Canada no?

if it was sim based / gsm / hspa its easy to just throw in your sim card. but for a cdma phone you need someone at bell to activate your account with the ESN from the phone. but they have a very strict policy against activating grey market phones

it also has a 3G backbone, I saw in one of the reviews, so if your in a 3g coverage it uses that instead of 4G or sprints CDMA.. it has everything so it should be possible fo run on Canadas 3G networks

by 3G are you referring to umts/hspa? I'm pretty sure the Evo has just cdma & wimax, otherwise we'd hear way more talk of the Evo being able to work on hspa
