Anyone interested in this phone? Depending on the price (and on how the Moto X+1 or iPhone 6 shape out...), I could find myself very happy with this device.

I actually think this looks better than the M8:

Really nice gold trim. Tasteful.

Is it too much to dream of a Google Play Edition of this phone? Heh.

Looks good to me. I would definitely want to see one in person. I wonder if the camera is any good. I know it is 13 MP but MP alone doesn't always mean a better camera.

Ya. Good points. Would be very curious to see reviews.

Am I the only one that thinks the E8 looks better than the M8?

Major bummer about the camera, though: As with the M8, the main area where the E8 underachieves is its rear camera — but for different reasons this time around. Whereas the M8 is heavily tilted towards fast capture speeds and low-light performance, the E8's is fairly underwhelming across the board. In some situations, particularly in daylight, it's possible to get good-looking images, but it requires much more effort to do so than most high-end handsets.

With the exception of the S5, why can't other Android OEMs get the camera right? There are always caveats it seems, even with makers like Sony. What gives?

I was excited for this device but the camera is still way underwhelming compared to other flagships.

Also this phone isn't easily found in stores and such, so that makes two strikes.

I do prefer the build quality over the metal M8. I like the softer touch which is easier to grab and hold.
