I was trying to activate the HTML beta from youtube to see if it would play from iphone but can't get the page to load.

Only mobile youtube loads.

Has anyone gotten this working?

Is your iPhone jailbroken? If it is you could try using the SBsettings add-on UserAgent Faker. That way Safari would be forced to load the full site. It might work. You could also try an app called Fake Web http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fake-web-browser-full-screen/id311236117?mt=8 if you're not jailbroken. Let me know if either works.
